AP, via ESPN.com:
| Quote: | Cantu was a late scratch from the lineup because of a bruised left foot. He planned to be examined by a doctor Wednesday in New York.
Cantu missed nearly a week earlier this month after fouling a ball off the foot. Feeling discomfort, he went out to test it during batting practice Tuesday and was pulled from the lineup. |

Cantu is the everyday 2B with the Devil Rays, and he has been a good one thus far. he's raised his batting average above .300, and has shown very good power for a second baseman. he doesn't walk much, but other than that he deserves to be starting in all formats, and is somebody to keep an eye on to see how he progresses. if he keeps up his performance to date, his value will be rising steeply. _________________ i'm a worm, i can't tell my ass from my head. |
