MacDougal has been solid since reclaiming the closer's role this season. he still walks too many, which holds down his value as a closer, but he's sporting the best control of his career, and, along with his fine strikeout rate, this portends of more success to come. as far as lower tier closers go, MacDougal is one of the more solid options right now. and even if the Royals don't give him a huge number of save opportunities, they should at least keep coming steadily, since KC does win occaisionally, and doesn't figure to be leading in a game by more than 1 or 2 runs, anyway. _________________ i'm a worm, i can't tell my ass from my head. |
