How about this for interesting -- in his two plate appearances in an intrasquad game, Reyes drew two walks, the first coming against Billy Wagner, the Newark Star-Ledger reports. Reyes drew just 27 walks all of last year.
Fantasy Source spin: This is an early indication that Reyes finally is taking to the notion of being a true leadoff man. If this continues, it only figures to improve his batting average. And if that happens, Reyes will be a very scary fantasy talent because of his speed. (Roger Kuznia/TSN)

Rickey Henderson has been working with him Very Happy

finally healthy, Reyes showed what he can do in a full season, stealing 60 bases while being caught just 15 times. he still doesn't do too much else, with just 7 homers and 58 RBI in 161 games, but at 22 years old he has plenty of time to improve as an overall hitter. in the meantime, people will take those SB at the shortstop position, and he will be going high in 2006 drafts, perhaps too high for his current talent level and early injury history.
